Nearly 1,400 Duke Energy customers without power in Greenville Co. as storms sweep through region

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Nearly 1,400 Duke Energy customers are without power in Travelers Rest Saturday afternoon as storms sweep through the Upstate and western North Carolina.

Per the Duke Energy Outage Map, 1,387 customers are without power near State Park Road in Greenville County.

The outage was first reported at 2:20 p.m.

The cause has not yet been listed, but Greenville County dispatchers say a tree is down on the 4700 block of State Park Road.

Trees are also down on Keeler Mill Road and Jackson Grove Road where dispatchers say power lines are down as well.

According to the National Weather Service, a few trees are down along Green River and Valley Hill.

There are also reports that trees are down in the Ellenboro area of Rutherford County.
