Deputies release photos of vehicle of interest in connection with fatal hit and run crash

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The SC Highway Patrol is investigating after a pedestrian was injured in a hit and run in Spartanburg County.

Troopers say the collision occurred Friday around 10:48 p.m. on Fernwood Glendale Road near Fernwood Park Drive in Spartanburg.

The victim was crossing the road with a friend when he was hit by a vehicle. On Wednesday, deputies released a photo of the suspect vehicle that troopers have described as either a GMC or Chevrolet pickup truck or SUV that should be missing the passenger's side mirror.

The victim was transported to Spartanburg Regional with serious injuries after the vehicle fled the scene. His condition is also unknown at this time.
