GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A firefighter suffered second degree burns to his arm while battling a fire at a mobile home in Greenville County early Monday morning, according to Chief Marion Cruell of the Slater Marietta Fire Department.

Cruell said the fire was reported around 4:18 a.m. at a mobile home on Baker Circle.

Firefighters arrived to find a fully involved fire.

A woman lives in the mobile home but made it out uninjured. Cruell said the woman’s two pet cats died in the fire but a pet bird was saved from the fire.

The mobile home is a total loss.

Cruell said the fire appears to have started in the hallway.
