Deputies: Asheville man wanted on 9 outstanding warrants has been arrested

ASHEVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

The Buncombe County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday that a man wanted on nine outstanding warrants had been arrested.

Deputies said 23-year-old Tavon Malik Pickens of Asheville was wanted for for driving with a revoked license, misdemeanor probation violations and pretrial release violation.

Pickens is described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall and 140 pounds. Deputies said Tuesday he may be driving a black 2007 BMW 325i series with damage to the driver's side and a cracked windshield.

Police said he is known to frequent Brookside Circle, French Broad Avenue and the Walton Street pool area.

On Wednesday, deputies announced Pickens had been arrested and was being held in the 

Buncombe County Detention Facility on a $23,000.00 bond.
