DUNCAN, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office said two people are facing charges after a man was stabbed in May.

On May 29, deputies were dispatched to an assault which had occurred at a residence in the 200 block of Belvedere Drive.

Deputies said a victim at the scene had swelling and bruising to his face and cuts to both his legs, including a deep laceration.

According to the incident report, the victim told deputies a neighbor was supplying him with methamphetamine and a relative had stolen from them. When the victim went to buy more narcotics, he said he was attacked, the report states.

The victim told deputies he had been punched and kicked in the face before being cut with scissors.

Warrants were signed on June 29 charging 27-year-old Kristin Peebles and 34-year-old James Grady-Lee Johnson in connection with the case.

The arrest warrants claim Johnson held the victim against his will while Peebles engaged in an aggravated assault against him, stabbing him resulting in severe injury.

Peebles and Johnson are both charged with kidnapping and attempted murder, according to online jail records.
