Search continues for 2 missing NC teens in DSS custody

MARION, NC (FOX Carolina) -

McDowell County deputies are continuing the search for two missing teenage boys who are in the custody of the Department of Social Services.

Trevor Lee Burleson, 16, has been missing since June 18 when he was last seen leaving work at KFC on Highway 226. Investigators said he was expected to get a ride home around 11 p.m. but hasn't been seen since.

Trevor was last seen wearing his KFC uniform, black pants and a red shirt.

Dylan Evan Smith, who is also in the care of DSS, is missing. He was last seen in the Asheville area and may be with friends or family in McDowell or Buncombe counties.

Dylan is described as 5 feet, 11 inches and 160 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to contact McDowell County DSS at 828-652-3355.
