CAMPOBELLO, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Lyman Police Department said two suspects are in custody after a chase ended in a crash on Thursday.

Officers attempted a traffic stop around 9:30 a.m. but said the driver fled. Police Chief Jay Hayes said the suspect continued into Campobello and ran over a ditch before rolling into a building.

Hayes said there was minimal damage to the building and vehicle.

After the crash, the driver tried to flee on foot but was captured after a short pursuit, Hayes said.

Michael James Owensby, 24, was arrested and charged with failure to stop for blue lights, reckless driving, driving under suspension, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Hayes said 24-year-old Andy James Hannah II was also arrested after the incident and charged with giving false information. Hannah had to active warrants out of Spartanburg County.

Both Owensby and Hannah were transported to the Spartanburg County Detention Center.
