Asheville road reopens after multi-story building fire

ASHEVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

The Asheville Fire Department said investigators were on scene of a fire on Thursday night.

The fire broke out in a two-story building in the 100 block of McDowell Street, which was closed to traffic between Choctaw Street and Hospital Drive.

Firefighters quickly said the fire was under control and no injuries were reported. Just after 10 p.m., firefighters said the road was back open.
