DUNCAN, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Startex, Jackson, Wellford, Duncan Water District (SJWD) on Saturday canceled a boil water advisory for some customers along and around Duncan Reidville Road.

The advisory was first issued Friday morning after a water main break.

The water main break involved a 12-inch pipe along the 1100 block of Duncan Reidville Road.

SJWD said customers on Duncan Reidville Road from Victor Hill Road to Rogers Bridge Road were under the advisory, along with residents on Plemmons Road from Duncan Reidville to Highway 101.

People in those areas were asked to vigorously boil their water for one full minute before using for drinking, cooking, hygiene, or making ice during the advisory period.
