GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville police are thanking "proactive policing" after multiple firearms were seized during a traffic stop on Friday.

Police said in a post on Facebook that the firearms were taken during a not-so-routine traffic stop on Laurens Road.

"This definitely goes to show that traffic stops are not 'routine'," read the post.

Police said the suspect(s) involved was charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a stolen firearm.
