GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville County Sheriff's Office said shots were fired when deputies responded to a party Saturday night.

According to deputies, they were called to the area of Prospect Street and Zet Court just after 10 p.m. for a loud party.  Deputies said upon arrival the back window of a deputy's patrol car was shot out.

The vehicle was a K-9 patrol vehicle and a K-9 was inside at the time of the gunfire, but deputies said the dog was not injured.

No arrests have been made in the case.

Two hours later, deputies were dispatched to a drive-by shooting half a mile away at the corner of Valley Street and South Washington Avenue. One victim was injured in the incident.

Deputies said they have not identified suspects in either case and are not ruling out a possible connection at this time, but said they don't have evidence of a connection either.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME.
