The heat backs off this week and becomes more seasonable with gradually increasing storm chances.
The rest of the day will be hot, but not as hot as the weekend was with highs in the lower 90s in the Upstate and upper 80s in the mountains with increasing sunshine and just a pop up storm or two mainly south of I-85.
Tomorrow and Wednesday will be similar to today but without the morning rain with seasonal heat and isolated afternoon storms. Thursday and Friday will bring slightly increasing late day rain chances as a cold front approaches from the west keeping highs stay near 90 degrees.
The best chance for rain as of now looks like it will be on Saturday, but once it exits, highs will cool down even more into the middle and upper 80s area-wide.
