Police: Man accused of threatening girlfriend with knife, pellet gun

LANDRUM, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Landrum man was arrested after police said he was accused of holding a knife to his girlfriend’s throat, putting a pellet gun to her head, and threatening to kill her on July 21 in a home on Asheville Highway.

The victim told police Cleve Dubois had been drinking heavily before he became violent.

The victim said Dubois turned violent when he threatened to kill her, grabbed her by the hair, and put a pellet gun to her head.

Per incident reports, the violence continued later when Dubois choked and threw the victim onto the bed and held a razor knife to her throat.

Dubois was arrested and charged with domestic violence high and aggravated.
