Greenville City Council votes to appropriate $4M to purchase land along Reedy River

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Greenville City Council gave final approval Monday night to purchase land along the Reedy River for the Camperdown Project.

The large scale project will consist of a major mixed use development of more than 175,000 square feet. The Camperdown Project is bordered by South Main Street, Board Street, Falls Street and Camperdown Way.

The city will appropriate $4 million to acquire the property along Camperdown Way off South Main Street.

The city stated the Camperdown Project is expected to play a vital role in the continued redevelopment of downtown Greenville.
