ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Anderson police said man was arrested after a chase ended in a multi-vehicle crash on Clemson Boulevard Tuesday morning.

Lt. David Creamer said the pursuit began on North Main Street near the Regency Building and ended when the suspect wrecked on Clemson Boulevard at the East West Connector.

According to troopers, the crash happened around 9:15 a.m.

Creamer said the driver and a passenger in the suspect’s vehicle were taken to the hospital.

The driver, Travis Bentley, 32, was later transferred to the Anderson city jail.

Troopers are investigating the crash and said Bentley disregarded a traffic signal, crashing into a 32-year-old woman in a 2017 Nissan, causing her to hit another vehicle in front of her.

All the victims were wearing their seat belts. A 60-year-old driver of a 2008 Mazda and a 43-year-old driver of a 2004 Nissan were both injured in the crash.

Bentley was charged with resisting arrest, possession of crack cocaine, failure to stop for blue light with bodily injury, possession of stolen vehicle, unlawful carrying of a weapon, and possession of a stolen gun, according to Anderson city jail records.
