Today will be a lot like yesterday in almost every aspect with afternoon highs near 90 in the Upstate, and middle 80s in the mountains with hit and miss thunderstorms.
A stray storm is not out of the realm of possibilities tonight, but most should remain warm and quiet late with lows near 70. Thursday will bring similar heat but with more coverage in afternoon rain and storms.
As a cold front approaches from the west, Friday will contain the most rain and storms that could even linger into Saturday, but should not cause any major washouts. Isolated storms on Friday evening could be strong to severe, with gusty wind as the bigger threat.
Much more pleasant air will move in behind the front and settle in for the rest of the weekend and early next week with highs in the lower 80s in the mountains and middle 80s in the Upstate. No major rain or storms are expected during this period either!
