A string of nicer days is ahead after some late week rain/storm chances.
Today brings near-average temperatures with a mix of sun and clouds. The chance of afternoon storms is highest in the mountains but a few could develop into the Upstate by late afternoon.
The approach of a front on Friday will bring much better storm chances, initially in the mountains and eventually into the Upstate. Some storms may produce gusty wind and heavy rain.
That front will be able to push through the entire region for the weekend, so save a few showers Saturday, nicer weather will return for the second half of Saturday and Sunday!
It looks like lower humidity and below-average temperatures will continue into next week with mostly dry weather sticking around. A few showers could show up Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon in the mountains.
