Deputies: Teen accused of intentionally ramming other teen's vehicle

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Spartanburg County deputies said an arrest warrant was signed after a 19-year-old man intentionally crashed into another car with two other teens inside.

Per incident reports, the teen victims were driving down Motlow Creek Road after leaving church Wednesday evening when Gavin James sped up behind them and began ramming the 1998 Jeep to try and cause the victims to wreck.

The victims said they sped off to try and James followed for two miles before the driver of the Jeep hit the brakes and James struck the SUV in the rear.

The teens were taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries from the crash.

James told deputies that he and the other driver had an ongoing dispute and accused the victim of continually speeding past his house and being obnoxious even after being asked several times to stop. Per incident reports, James told deputies he followed the victim to try and flag him down to tell

Him, and the victim slammed on brakes, causing James to hit the victim’s Jeep.

Deputies said a judge issued an arrest warrant for James, charging him with reckless driving.
