GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Lidl grocery store on Wade Hampton Boulevard was closed Thursday due to a power outage, a spokesman for the company confirmed.

“Unfortunately our Greenville store suffered a power outage this morning and we are working to get it back online as fast as possible. We would like to apologize to our customers for any inconvenience,” Chandler Ebeier stated.

Employees were outside the store on Thursday to notify shoppers of the closure and hand out chocolate-covered blueberries.

There was no word if the store would open on Friday.
