A string of nicer days is ahead after some storm chances later today.
Today will be partly to mostly cloudy with highs remaining in the 80s with a few showers possible before noon.
The approach of a front later today will bring some storm chances, but morning clouds have limited substantial "energy" buildup so far. However, through the afternoon, at least a few strong storms are possible along with scattered showers.
Some of the strongest storms may produce gusty wind and heavy rain, but this threat should gradually subside after sunset. Overall, the storm and severe storm potential looks relatively isolated at this time.
That front will be able to push through the entire region for the weekend, so outside of a random afternoon shower Saturday, things look breezy but mostly sunny and comfortable! Expect more of the same into Sunday - mostly sunny with highs in the upper 70s to middle 80s.
It looks like lower humidity and below-average temperatures will continue into next week with mostly dry weather sticking around. A few showers could show up by mid-week, but for now no major threat for rain OR heat are on the horizon!
