ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Lt. Gov. Kevin Bryant announced Friday that he will run for governor in the 2018 election year.

The announcement came during a news conference in Anderson at Cromer Food Services in Anderson

Bryant became South Carolina’s 92nd lieutenant governor on January 25 after serving in the state senate from 2005 to 2017.

He’s also a pharmacist and owner of Bryant Pharmacy in Anderson
