ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies have located a man reported reported missing since July 24.

Officials with the Anderson County Sheriff's Office said Michael Kevin Best was reported missing by his family in New Jersey.

Deputies said Best was staying at the Tiger Cove Campground in Anderson and last spoke to family on the night of July 24. Family said they hadn't heard from him since.

Best was last seen at the campground wearing an auto mechanic type shirt and blue jean shorts.

On Saturday, deputies said they had made contact with the campground's management and learned that Best had checked out of the site late at night on July 24 and returned home.

Deputies said they've been in contact with Best and his wife, Carrie, and they've confirmed that he's safely back home in Washington, NJ.
