Driver charged after Spartanburg Co. crash along Asheville Hwy

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Trooper are reporting a crash in Spartanburg County.

The call came in just before 8:10 p.m. Friday.

Troopers said the crash happened along Asheville Hwy at N Town Drive and involved two vehicles.

According to Highway Patrol, a driver in a 2012 Chevrolet was traveling east towards Spartanburg and made a left turn in front of a driver in a a vehicle registered to Spartanburg County, causing the accident.

The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 57-year-old Charles Smith of Spartanburg, was charged with failure to yield. The driver in the a vehicle registered to Spartanburg County was not injured.
