BRYSON CITY, NC (FOX Carolina) -

The Swain County Sheriff's Office said a man was arrested and charged after drugs were found at his home during a search warrant.

According to deputies, Keith Richard Fulford was arrested after deputies executed a search warrant at his home on Sitton Creek Road on Friday.

Drug Enforcement Officers have been conducting an investigation into Fulford's residence for several months after the Sheriff's Office received numerous complaints from the public.

Fulford was arrested by the Swain County Sheriff's Office and Cherokee Indian Police Department and charged with 3 counts of felony possession of methamphetamine, 3 counts of maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance and 1 count of trafficking in opium or heroin. He was placed under a $125,000 secured bond.

"This is a true example of a community working closely with law enforcement to aid in the successful investigation, arrest and shutting down another drug dealer," said Swain County Sheriff's Office.
