SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

South Carolina Department of Public Safety confirmed a collision caused powers outages early Monday morning.

According to Duke Energy workers, a car ran off Berry Shoals Road and struck a pole just before 1 a.m. There is no word on injuries at this time.

As of 6:45 a.m., 528 customers were still without power, which is expected to be restored by 11:30 a.m. Duke Energy crews were on site working to repair the damage.

The traffic light at Highway 290 and Berry Shoals Road was out due to the crash.

According to the South Carolina Department of Public Safety, traffic delays are expected for morning commuters.
