GREENWOOD, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Two men are behind bars after a confrontation led to a car chase and the brandishing of a pistol and a machete, police say.

Greenwood officers say they responded to a call about two cars chasing one another through the city of Greenwood and that one of the drivers had a gun.

When officers arrived on scene they were informed that there was a confrontation between the two suspects, Jerry Yeldell and Cornelio Estrada.

Per police, Yeldell and a male witness found Yeldell’s wife with Estrada and after a confrontation, Estrada tried to leave the scene. Yeldell then following Estrada’s vehicle down several streets, officers say.

Eventually the cars pulled over and Yeldell allegedly threatened Estrada with a black handgun. Estrada then presented a machete, police say. Both individuals then began chasing each other again, officers continued.

After an investigation, officers arrested both suspects and charged them with drawing a weapon in affray.
