In order to keep Bryson's memory alive, the community has organized a candlelight vigil in his honor.

The vigil will take place on Wednesday at 8:45 p.m. until 9 p.m. The organizer asks the community to bring a candle or a light and shine them for 15 minutes in honor of Bryson and his family.

"People are asked to come out and line the highway from the beginning of South Mills River Road to Glenn Bridge Road. Everyone is asked to bring a candle or light and let our lights shine for 15 minutes for Tommy Bryson and his family," the Facebook event read.

A GoFundMe was also created to honor Bryson's memory. All proceeds will be "given to his family, to honor Tommy in any way they see fit," the creator of the GoFundMe wrote. Click here to contribute.
