Some showers and storms are possible this afternoon followed by some quieter weather over the weekend.
Under mostly cloudy skies, highs reach the low to mid-80s today. Scattered showers and storms are likely in the mountains by early afternoon, with some of this activity sneaking into the Upstate through the evening.
Some storms could grow strong to severe, particularly in the mountains, with gusty wind the primary concern.
Right now most computer models are keeping Saturday mostly dry! The best chance for rain will be south of 85, and most of the storm activity should be closer to the Midlands.
Rain showers return for Sunday, mainly late day. Highs will remain in the low to mid 80s area-wide.
Next week looks unsettled with a chance for showers and storms each afternoon. The biggest threat with storms will be heavy rainfall and lightning.
