GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Road construction crews will close I-385 North at the I-85 interchange will Friday starting at 10 p.m. to begin installing steel girders for a connector ramp being built as part of the 85-385 Gateway Project, according to a news release.
The steel girders will cross over I-385 North for a new exit ramp that will connect I-385 North to I-85 South.
Officials said traffic will be detoured to I-85 North, then directed to turn around at the Pelham Road or Highway 14 exits and take I-85 South to Exit 51C for I-385 North.
Normal traffic patterns are expected to be restored by 5 a.m. Saturday.
