Police: 2 charged in Milwee Ave shooting; ongoing investigation into Phoenix Place Apts shooting

GREENWOOD, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenwood Police said two have been arrested and charged in connection with a shooting in Greenwood.

Police made the announcement on Facebook Friday. According to police, 21-year-old Cedric Demore Elmore, Jr. was arrested Friday afternoon and charged with breach of peace of a high and aggravated nature in connection with a shooting on Milwee Avenue Thursday night.

A second suspect was identified as Nathaniel Tyler Wideman. Wideman was located and arrested on Friday and also charged with breach of peace of a high and aggravated nature.

 Police said this shooting occurred around 7:35 p.m. 

Another shooting occurred at Phoenix Place Apartments around 10:30 p.m. Thursday. One person was found shot following that incident, however police said that victim's wounds were non-life threatening. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Police ask anyone who saw anything related to either shooting to contact Greenwood Police at 864-942-8407.
