The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office said a Greenville man is in custody after a woman claims she was repeatedly attacked.

On Wednesday, deputies were called to a residence on Stable Gate Drive after a woman said she saw 51-year-old Roy Holcombe outside her home. The victim said Holcombe was a former employee against whom she was working to obtain a restraining order.

In a written statement, the victim said she had been repeatedly attacked by Holcombe throughout the month of July.

On July 11, the victim told deputies she pulled into her driveway and when she tried to get out of the car, Holcombe appeared close to her and tried to pull her out by her arms. The incident report states that the victim said she was trapped in the car for a period of time before she saw an opportunity to run.

When she ran, the victim told deputies that Holcombe caught her and threw her down but released her and fled when she set off the panic alarm of her vehicle.

During the incident, Holcombe is accused of repeatedly asking the victim to come to a barn with him. The victim did not call 911 after the incident. She later told deputies she was trying to handle the situation without pressing charges.

Two days later, deputies said the victim told them she found Holcombe inside her barn and he grabbed her by the hair, neck and face before shoving her into the wall. She was able to get away.

On July 16, the victim said she again found him in the barn and tried to spray him with mace, but he tried to wrestle it away from her. The victim said she then told Holcombe she was going to begin filing paperwork to have him trespassed from the property. He was served with a trespass notice on the following day.

On July 20, the victim called deputies after she said Holcombe repeatedly rang her doorbell, but deputies were unable to locate him. The deputy who responded said the victim had visible injuries on her forearms but was uncooperative with an assault investigation.

On the next day, the victim applied for a restraining order against Holcombe, which was being processed and Holcombe was served with a notice of court date.

When the victim called to report spotting Holcombe on Aug. 2, deputies said an officer  located him on New Cut Road. The incident report states that Holcombe told deputies he "really does care about her" and "knows there ain't nothing there."

Deputies said the victim showed them several old bruises on her right forearm.

He was arrested and charged with trespass after warning, kidnapping and third-degree assault and battery.
