Duke Energy: Power restored to over 1800 in Simpsonville area

SIMPSONVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Over 1,900 customers were without power in the Simpsonville area Sunday night, according to Duke Energy's outage map.

The company said approximately 1,907 customers were being affected by an outage in the area. It was initially reported around 7:49 p.m.

Duke Energy estimated that power will be restored in the area around 10:15 p.m. The cause of the outage was listed as trees down on equipment and power lines.

Around 10:20 p.m., Duke Energy reported that the outages had been repaired. Only 9 customer remained without power in the area.
