NOTE: Highway Patrol initially reported a fatality in the collision but later confirmed the moped driver suffered injuries.
Troopers said SC-18 was closed for several hours in Cherokee County after a crash.
The highway was closed near Norman Boulevard after troopers said the driver of a Ford sedan crossed the center lane and struck the driver of a moped.
The moped driver was injured in the crash. The driver of the Ford was uninjured.
Just after 1 p.m. troopers said the highway had reopened.
Troopers said more details about the crash would be released once the investigation is complete.
