Today will be much soggier in the Upstate than yesterday as we see scattered showers and thunderstorms just about all day long while the mountains see early today's rain dissipate and sink southward this afternoon.
As a result, high temperatures will only make it into the upper 70s to near 80 area-wide since there will barely be any sunshine.
The rain will gradually die off later this evening after 7 PM which will give way to drier conditions overnight tonight with lows in the middle to upper 60s.
Wednesday looks a bit drier than today with the remaining possibility of spotty rain and storms with a few peeks of sunshine in between.
Thursday through early next week will return to daily rain and storm chances which will translate to on and off thundershowers across the area with highs in the upper 70s to lower and middle 80s.
