Spartanburg County deputies said arrest warrants were signed for a man accused of striking and threatening to sexually assault a woman on Monday.

Deputies said the violence occurred in a camper at an address on John Dodd Road.

Per incident reports, the victim, a 36-year-old woman, told deputies that Billy Crowe, 51, was visiting her boyfriend while his truck was being repaired. The victim said Crowe began making sexual advances and that when she denied him, he punched her in the mouth, kicked her in the ribs, and pushed her onto the bed, causing her to slam her head into the wall.

Crowe reportedly threatened sexual violence and the victim told deputies she began screaming.

The victim said Crowe broke her phone before he took off.

Deputies said they arrived to find the victim bleeding from a split lip and EMS advised the injury would require stitches.

Deputies said a judge found probable cause to issue warrants for assault and battery third degree and malicious injury to personal property.

Anyone with information about Crowe’s whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
