ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Anderson County coroner confirmed one person has died following a crash on East Shockley Ferry Road Monday morning.

First responders at the scene said a woman died and a toddler survived the crash and was transported to the hospital.

Troopers said the crash happened along the 400 block around 10:17 a.m.

The victim, a 51-year-old from Anderson, was heading north in a 1993 Toyota when troopers said the car ran off the road, struck an embankment, a tree, and then overturned.

The driver was entrapped in the vehicle and died at the scene. She was later identified as Margaret Sonya Hunt.

The coroner said the toddler has since been discharged from the hospital.
