Comedian Ralphie May dies at age 45

(Meredith) – Comedian Ralphie May has died at 45 years old, according to TMZ.

Reports of his death began circulating Friday afternoon.

According to reports, May had been battling pneumonia for a week but continued performing his stand-up comedy.

May's Twitter account tweeted a press release on his death.

May was a contestant on “Last Comic Standing” in 2003, which launched his career. 

A post on his Facebook page shared additional information about May's life.
