McDowell County deputies said a Charlotte man and a 17-year-old from Charlotte face a long list of charges after “an organized crime spree” through multiple counties.
Deputies said 25-year-old Jordan Cornelius Carmichael and the teen, whose name was not released, face more than four dozen charges. The offenses include breaking and entering a motor vehicle, larceny, damage to property, larceny of a motor vehicle, larceny of a firearm, and more.
Deputies said the duo was involved in a series of crimes between Charlotte and McDowell County.
On Nov. 9, deputies said they stole four vehicles and broke into at least 39 cars and one garage in the Nebo area. During the spree, deputies said the men stole thousands of dollars’ worth of money, guns, electronics, hunting equipment, tools, medication and jewelry and caused thousands more dollars in damage to the victims’ vehicles.
Deputies said the suspects hit Rutherford County a few days later, where they ended up in vehicle and foot chases with law enforcement and were taken into custody.
Investigators said the suspects were found in possession of some of the items stolen in McDowell County.
