ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

An Upstate squirrel is becoming quite the star on social media.

No, we’re not talking about Bella. There’s a new squirrel in town.

Kristy Vassey said Theodora, a squirrel that she cared for since it was a baby, is now like another member of the family, and a photogenic one too.

Vassey said she rescues squirrels. In fact, she said she has saved 230 in 2017 alone.

Vassey rescued Theodora and her brother, Alvin, when the rodents were just two weeks old. Someone had found the babies while cleaning out a gutter.

Alvin didn’t make it, but Vassey said there was something special about Theodora. The Vasseys have had the squirrel for two years and say the animal is very social. Theodora is the only squirrel that Vassey has kept as a pet.

Theodora enjoys trips to Petsmart, food from McDonald’s and Sonic, and dressing up in cute costumes.

Theodora has her own Facebook page, where Vassey shares photos of the little critter doing cute things.
