Two people were hurt at a Henderson County doctor’s office after a car crashed into the building Wednesday morning, according to firefighters.
Major Frank Stout with the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened on Fleming Street near Pardee Hospital.
Hendersonville police, firefighters, and EMS were responding to the incident, Stout said.
Deputy Chief James Miller with the Henderson County Fire Department said the crash happened around 10:11 a.m. at Blue Ridge Hearing Center.
The car traveled several feet into the building and stopped in a patient room.
The building was evacuated and Miller said a portion of the ceiling collapsed.
Two people, a doctor and patient inside, suffered minor injuries, according to Hendersonville police. The driver said he was okay, but was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Police said the driver told them has was pulling into a parking spot and the vehicle would not stop. The crash remains under investigation.
