GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Black ice potential will remain for some roadways, but sunny and increasingly warm conditions into the weekend will help!

A winter weather advisory is in effect for the entire viewing area until Noon for northeast GA/Upstate and until 2 PM for the mountains for widespread black ice potential on the roads.

Today brings a sunny sky and highs in the upper 30s to low 40s this afternoon. Most snow will melt but could potentially refreeze again overnight in spots as temperature drops into the 20s.

Friday we’re back in the 50s with sunshine, so that should dry up what is left of the moisture. Saturday and Sunday look fantastic with highs in the 50s to near 60 degrees under sunshine. Our next chance for rain comes Monday late day.
