Police: Two men charged after months-long investigation into crack sales in Asheville

ASHEVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

Asheville police said two men were arrested and drugs and weapons were seized at the end of a two-month investigation into crack cocaine sales.

The Asheville Police Department said its Drug Suppression and Housing Units conducted a search warrant on January 12 at an apartment on Camby Street.

Police said they began investigating after learning that Keith Larnel Blair had been selling crack cocaine from the residence. Police also discovered Zhan Cobb in the home. Cobb had a vehicle at the home.

The home and the vehicle were searched and police said they seized the following drugs, firearms and drug paraphernalia:

  • 1481.2 grams of Marijuana (approximately 3.27 pounds)
  • 3.2 grams of Heroin
  • .6 grams of Crack Cocaine
  • 4 firearms
  • 2 bullet proof vests
  • Multiple paraphernalia to include digital scales
  • Multiple rounds of .45 ammunition

A second home connected to investigation was also searched on Brickyard Road in Etowah and an additional 12.77 pounds of Marijuana and 9 firearms were seized.

Blair, 28, was charged with Felony Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell and Distribute and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Cobb, 22, was charged with Maintaining a Vehicle, Dwelling or Place for Use, Storage or Sale of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell and Distribute.
