Windy at times today, but most of this week is looking pleasant before more wet weather could move in for the weekend.
Mostly sunny and increasingly breezy conditions are expected today with afternoon temperatures ranging from the 50s to near 60 degrees.
Though a wind advisory starts this afternoon for Yancey and Mitchell Counties, winds could gust up to 30 mph across the entire area. In the advisory area, winds could approach 50 mph, especially in the higher elevations.
Pleasant days and chilly mornings continue through Friday before another system moves in over the weekend.
For now, the best chance of rain will be on Sunday though a few showers could develop Saturday afternoon.
