SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The southbound side of Interstate 85 in Spartanburg County was shut down on Monday afternoon due to a crash involving a power pole.

The collision occurred near Exit 66 for U.S. 29 around 3:40 p.m.

Troopers said a car struck a power pole, causing a pole and active power lines to fall into the southbound lanes of the interstate. Multiple vehicles struck the power lines, troopers said.

Duke Energy responded to the scene.

Shortly before 4:40 p.m., the middle and right lanes of the interstate reopened. Just after 5 p.m., all lanes were reopened and traffic was moving again.
