CVS to install medication disposal units in multiple Upstate stores

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

CVS Health announced Tuesday plans to expand its safe medication disposal program and add drop boxes inside select stores across the state.

Officials said the drop boxes will “help facilitate proper and timely disposal of opioids and other medications that could be diverted or misused if left in people’s homes.”

The 22 new medication disposal units coming to CVS Pharmacy locations i will supplement the nearly 24 units CVS Health has donated to police and sheriff departments across the state.

In the Upstate, medicine drop boxes will be added at the following stores:?

Anderson

  • 2814 North Main St.

Greenville

  • 718 Mills Ave.
  • 3218 West Blue Ridge Dr.
  • 2401 East North St.

Greer

  • 2446 Hudson Rd.

Inman

  • 11211 Asheville Hwy.

Simpsonville

  • 698 Fairview Rd.

Spartanburg

  • 2397 Reidville Rd.
