SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Spartanburg police have arrested a man accused of assaulting another Taco Bell employee with a hot burrito.

The incident happened on January 22 at the restaurant on Pine Street, according to police.

The victim told police the suspect, an employee at the time, had been complaining and getting into arguments with other employees, and that when she told him to “stop being a crybaby,” he retaliated with the burrito assault.

Melted cheese from the burrito got all over the victim’s arm and on several kitchen appliances.

The suspect then took off his headset, broke it on his knee, tossed it aside, and walked out of the restaurant, per police incident reports.

Police said warrants would be sought for the suspect, Christopher Dalton.

On Wednesday, January 31, jail records show the 28-year-old suspect was arrested and charged with assault and battery third degree and malicious injury to property.
