DUNCAN, SC (FOX Carolina) -

An auto plant in Spartanburg County was evacuated Tuesday.

A fire was reported shortly after 11 a.m. at the Autolite plant on Highway 290 in Duncan. Dispatchers said the building was evacuated.

Chief Barry Ward with the Startex Fire Department said a total of four fire departments responded to the scene and it took almost two hours to extinguish the fire, which started inside a machine.

A firefighter injured his knee during the response but no other injuries were reported.
