Troopers investigating crash involving Greenville Co. deputy, moped

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office confirmed one of its deputies was involved in a traffic collision on Monday night.

The agency said a deputy was responding to a call for service when the collision occurred near the 3200 block of Geer Highway. A moped was involved in the collision.

Troopers said a male moped driver and a female passenger were transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital for injuries in the crash. The driver was not wearing a helmet, according to troopers.

The deputy involved in the crash was not injured.

The crash is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
