GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Greenville County coroner has identified the man whose body was found near busy Woodruff Road Thursday morning.

Deputy Coroner Jeff Fowler identified the man as 56-year-old Ronald Eugene Baker Sr.

Fowler said said Baker was living outdoors behind the Home Depot on Woodruff Road in a wooded area.

Baker was found lying face down in a campfire with severe burns to his body, Fowler said.

He was pronounced dead on scene.

Fowler said Baker's cause of death was severe thermal injuries and inhalation of combustion productions. His death was ruled accidental, Fowler said.

The investigation is ongoing.
