GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Julie Hershey, President of The Greenville County Republican Women's Club, got an exciting invite over the phone this week.

"I got a call a few days ago and an invitation through Senator Scott's office and I was thrilled, I thought 'Sure, I'd love to come,'" said Hershey.

Hershey is one of about 200 local women invited to The Westin Poinsett Hotel in Downtown Greenville Friday to hear from the President's daughter and close advisor, Ivanka Trump. The first daughter will join Senator Tim Scott to talk about the new tax reform bill.

"I really like Ivanka's stand on her women's issues, her focus on helping women and I believe tomorrow the talk is going to be about how tax reductions are impacting women in a favorable way. So I'm going mainly to be informed and to get educated," said Hershey.

The event is scheduled to take place from 12:30 to 1:30.

Greenville Police Sergeant Johnathan Bragg said the same dignitary team that assisted during President Trump's visit to Greenville last October will help out the secret service.

"They're used to doing it. They've done it for several years, same team so it's easy really they just any instructions from secret service. They'll come and they'll do the security sweeps. And they'll tell us what we need to do and where we need to be," said Bragg.

Even though few details about Ivanka Trump's visit are known, Hershey said she expects security will be tight.

"You have to give all the information of yourself so that security can check you out... I travel light anyway so I'm just going to go and enjoy," said Hershey.
